Eng. Teodor Osikovski is a mechanical engineer graduated from Technical University of Sofia and a PhD graduate of the university. He specializes in International Economic Relations and Customs Policy at the Postgraduate Institute of the UNWE. <\/em> He started his professional career in the field of energy at Central Energy Repair Base JSC Sofia, where he was successively a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board and Procurator. He was CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Energoremont Holding AD until 2018. Through its investment structure, Euro Technoconsult is adding a new energy company to its portfolio in 2019 – KMC Ltd. <\/em> Teodor Osikovski is a long-standing chairman of the Bulgarian Welding Union.<\/em> He has been successively a member of the boards of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB), the Scientific and Technical Union of Mechanical Engineering, the Bulgarian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BULATOM and the Alumni Council of the Technical University of Sofia. <\/em> He has been nominated twice by the professional community for the Energetician of the Year and Mr. Economy in the Energy Sector. This career has guaranteed his professional experience in the energy sector.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Mr Osikovski, you have been working in the energy sector for more than 30 years. What does KMC do and what are the highlights of its activities? <\/strong><\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When producing or supplying energy, it is important to know how repairs will be carried out if something in the whole chain fails. That’s what our company focuses on. ” KMC Ltd ” is the new name of a company founded in 1990, specializing in repairs in the energy sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In 2019 I have acquired the company through my investment structure. We have been able to attract excellent professionals and now we have a team of over 150 qualified professionals with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. We already have 4 offices in Bulgaria – Kozloduy, Radnevo, Burgas and Sofia.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Which business activities does the renewed company perform? <\/strong><\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the 3 years since we took over KMC, we have expanded the company’s portfolio. In addition to repair and installation works in the energy sector, we also perform electrical works, service and maintenance, manufacture parts and equipment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Our portfolio also includes the Balkankar – Georgi Mihaylov repair and mechanical plant, where we manufacture spare parts for trucks and metal structures. We have a joint project with Hitachi to absorb production as their sub-supplier. We are able to offer a complete service in the energy, industrial, construction, transport and agricultural sectors thanks to the equipment, knowledge and team we have at our disposal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Who are the main partners of KMC? <\/strong><\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As we are well acquainted with the base and staff at the Kozloduy NPP site, I can say with confidence that operating there is a top priority for us. Another long-standing partner of the company is CEZ, with whom we continue to work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We are also working perfectly with the major contracting authorities in the energy sector – ESO, NEK and the electricity distribution companies. We have now turned our attention to thermal power and district heating plants, transport infrastructure – motorway tunnels, metropolitan and oil refineries, giving us a good opportunity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

And let me be specific and complete the list of our key customers – SE Radioactive Waste, Lukoil Neftohim Burgas AD, Rompetrol AD, Hitachi, Konchar-Engineering DD Zagreb, Contour Global Maritsa East 3, AES Maritsa East 1, TPP Maritsa East 2, TPP Varna and Toplofikatsia Sofia.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The projects we work on with them are the result of their trust in us, which I consider to be our most valuable asset.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the context of the war in Ukraine and the subsiding COVID <\/strong>pandemic crisis, how do you see the prospects for KMC?<\/strong><\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

I will first answer to you as a person and later as a businessman. I am sympathetic to the suffering of all the victims of this terrible war. I am helping Ukrainian families who have been forced to leave their country, and I hope that many others will help as well.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now from a business point of view. We have been actively involved in procedures for the supply and repair of energy equipment in Ukraine for two years. Unfortunately, working there is currently impossible. So we have to mobilise and concentrate on other projects and target new places as well.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Both the war and the pandemic have shown us that there is nothing more precious than the human life and health.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
